Ozone therapy is the application of ozone in wellness and research settings. Ozone therapeutic research is a fast-growing area in medicine. What is inhibiting great studies in medicine is our current legal system. The only way a company can get FDA approval in the USA is to spend 100’s of millions of dollars, not 10’s of thousands, 100’s of millions. It is estimated it cost 800 million dollars to go from initial research to FDA approval and five years of time. There are no Nutraceutical companies out there with an extra billion dollars in their bank to spend on research, let alone an ozone generator company. However, you can rest assured that there are many excellent efficacious products and methodologies all around the world for many diseases that are available but are not legal in the USA.
The primary “ozone therapy” that we can promote without any worries (because we don’t make any medical claims) is the use of ozonated water for gum health via gargling with ozonated water. Ozonated water can kill the harmful bacteria that cause plaque on your teeth and has even been tied to the hardening of the arteries and heart disease, among other things.
About using ozone to keep your mouth clean:
The oral cavity appears as an open ecosystem, with a dynamic balance between the entrance of microorganisms, colonization modalities, and host defenses aimed to their removal: To avoid elimination, bacteria need to adhere to either hard dental surfaces or epithelial surfaces. The oral biofilm formation and development, and the inside selection of specific microorganisms have been correlated with the most common oral pathologies, such as dental caries, periodontal disease, and peri-implantitis. The mechanical removal of the biofilm and adjunctive use of antibiotic disinfectants or various antibiotics have been the conventional methods for periodontal therapy. Ozone (O3) is a triatomic molecule, consisting of three oxygen atoms, and its application in medicine and dentistry has been studied for a wide range of applications, and researchers continue to explore its role in minimally invasive, conservative dental care. The exposition of molecular mechanisms of ozone further benefits practical function in dentistry. (READ FULL TEXT)
Disclaimer: In the USA, the FDA has not approved ozone for medical use in the USA. If you have any questions about using ozone, please talk to your doctor or health professional. Ozone is not for breathing! Breathing high concentrations of ozone can harm your lungs (see EPA warning on ozone air purifiers) We do not sell ozone air purifiers. We only sell commercial ozone shock treatment machines for sanitizing unoccupied spaces, never for breathing or as air purifiers. Use only in empty spaces! Please use as directed for air shock treatments, and only if you feel you can competently follow instructions.
