This unit comes with four external timer options to fit your particular needs. The standard timer is a 24-hour 30-minute interval timer. Set it to turn on for 30 minutes while you’re gone from home in order to come home to a fresh-smelling smelling sanitized home or office. (as long as you don’t have pets) Option #2 is a wifi timer that allows you to turn the unit on and off via a cell phone app from anywhere in the world! I use this timer to turn the ozone generator on once I leave the house and off 1 hour before I come home. The cell phone app also has a countdown timer feature. Super cool! I was a bit skeptical about this product but I bought a truck that was smoked In and tried to get rid of the smell every other way I looked up to no avail. This thing worked amazing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I couldn’t figure out the timer device. I should have paid $5 more to be able to work it from my phone. I just did 3 30 minutes sessions with it and let it air out with the windows down over night and the smell was finally got thank goodness 🙌

Wish it had a timer mounted on the side like another ozone generator I have. Also wish a cover for the open end were included for optional use – may cut the output, but definitely looks better on my other ozone generator. That said, you are still the only game in town now for folks who live in California. Amazon won’t deliver its ozone generators there.

The reason we don’t put a timer on the side is that ozone destroys timers when mounted on an ozone generator! They cost $6 and if it craps out, no big deal. But if your Chinese designed machine (designed to fail) has the timer crap out, you’re shit out of luck because how are you going to know it’s the tiny piece of copper in the timer that rusted and stopped the machine from working (or the on-off switch, those also rust, why we don’t have one)
As for the open front, yeah, doesn’t look like a fancy air purifier like the ones designed in China, but then again, nobody has found our ozone generator in a closet of an AirBnB and turned it on at night before they went to bed, thinking it was an air purifier, and then hurt their lungs by breathing ozone while they slept! (Why we design it to be open – obviously NOT and air purifier)
We are allowed to sell in China because per our TOS, we only sell to ‘contractors’ or homeowners acting as contractors to do remediation work. Ozone generators are legal to be used by contractors in California. How we get around that law, that and the warnings on the machine as well as the design (does not look like an air purifier)

Big improvement over the previous version (ceramic plate with the external fan) . I accidentally dropped it and shattered the plate so I ordered this new version which is better integrated and more compact and rugged.
It did not come with a timer but I was able to use my old one. I would only suggest to add a longer power cable – at least 6 feet . Good job in the redesign.
