We’ve sold replacement transformers and tubes to our Contractor clients for years. They can’t wait for the turnaround time for warranty work, so they use the spare parts they ordered ahead of time and wait for the warranty replacement part. No downtime. Everyone’s happy.
We’ve had several cases over the years of customers who run property management companies, for instance, and likewise, can’t afford any downtime, and subsequently suffer said downtime. So we’re now going to allow our customers to order one spare transformer and tube with each purchase.
The transformer has a lifetime warranty. But if it fails. You have to send it in and pay shipping both ways (warranty only covers parts and labor). With shipping charges going up every year. It might be cheaper to just buy these parts at cost up front. (Cost of goods on both parts is around $22, all things factored in). You could create another unit with these two parts but we hope you save these parts for down the road.
